The secret is in creating an outline for the book that will help you "fill in the blanks" rather than wonder what to write about along the way.

So, if you haven't started writing your book I have good news...

The fastest way to get going is to decide on your chapter topics/titles first before you try to figure out exactly what you want to say. If you have a problem figuring out what you want to name the chapters, just focus on the topic of the chapter and from there write a brief explanation or "purpose statement" of the topic.

Here's a really simple way to do it:

If you are a gardening fanatic, then you have probably gone to book stores before with specific gardening books in mind. To your surprise, you are then bombarded by shelf upon shelf of books on every type of gardening imaginable except the one that you really want! Who knew there were this many gardening books? And what about going online? You know the internet is a good place to find information, so you go to your favorite search engine expecting to find exactly what you're looking for. Instead, you're just bombarded with tons of information overload. Again.

The process of writing an e-book is fairly straightforward if you follow a few simple tips. Before you begin, it helps to get your ideas organized; otherwise your book could end up an utter mess. Before you even start writing, figure out the topic of your book. What do you want to discuss? What kind of information do you want to distribute? Who is your target audience?

To publish a book is to become immortal. Why? Because your name and most importantly, your ideas will live on even when you are no longer physically here on earth. For as long as there are people who read (for information and for pleasure), accept, or even oppose (for the sake of argumentation and critical analysis) your ideas, your person is alive through that book.

Many of us become paralyzed by fear when it comes to actually stepping out and doing something about our dream. We visualize the life we want, we read about our people doing it and think that somehow they are extra-ordinary or have some super-human power that makes them able to live out our dream. The truth is that they just started moving. There are a lot of people who love to write and love to inspire, inform, and/or educate their given market on their particular interest.

Very few people actually know how to write a book. Most of those who have written one or more books have usually had to learn how as they went along. Even then, whatever they learned was what worked for them; there is almost no chance the same lessons would work for you.

You can understand, therefore, that anyone who tells you he can teach you how to write a book is not being entirely truthful. He can tell you what worked for him, or for other people, and he may be helpful, but he doesn't have a magic wand with your name on it.

Inexperienced book writers aim too high. Don't try to fit everything you know or researched into a one big book. Plan too big and you may end up with a monster book that turns your potential readers off. Remember many people in the new millennium are busy and impatient. They look for short, quick easy reads.
